I am a husband and a dad of four. Life at our house is full - sports schedules, school pickups, dinner on the fly, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with a big family. My wife and I have been married 24 years, and we have built our life together one move at a time. Our fourth move was the hardest. We had two kids under three. We were moving two hours away from our friends and most of our family. And we could not sell our home - because it was the fall of 2008, and the market had collapsed. So we moved into a rental. I remember what that felt like. You are trying to get settled in a new place where you do not know anyone. You have a toddler and a baby. And in the back of your mind, you are carrying the weight of a house you still own but cannot sell. It was one of the loneliest, most stressful seasons of our life. We moved seven times in the first 10 years of our marriage Before real estate, I spent years in full-time church ministry. I believed in that work deeply. But I kept noticing something that bothered me - I was spending most of my days inside the building, handling emails and schedules, while the people I wanted to serve were out there living their lives. I wanted to be present with people during the moments that actually mattered. When I thought about what I had lived through and what I genuinely loved doing, real estate made complete sense. It put me right where I had always wanted to be. Now I work with growing families who are right where we have been - busy, a little overwhelmed, and trying to make a big decision in the middle of an already full life. I know what it feels like to sit at a kitchen table surrounded by listings while everything else keeps moving. I did not come to this work because of a sales pitch or a career quiz. I came because I spent years wanting to show up for people when it really counted. This is how I do that now.
